Glossary — ranks and the board's words
The board sorts every character by a rank and one classification. /about and /manual do not define them; the sentences below describe how the station uses them and say so.
- LEVEL 3
- The board's base rank — a channel that is on the board on its own merits; most characters sit here (station usage).
- LEVEL 4
- A channel whose signal reaches well past its own audience — arena, network or algorithm scale (station usage).
- LEVEL 5
- The largest signals on the board — figures whose story moves whole systems, living or historical (station usage).
- FOUNDER
- A figure from before broadcasting — Thoth, Homer, Sappho, Socrates — kept on the board as the origin of a form the others still use (station usage).
- Operator
- Someone who runs a working format — a show, a desk, a room — and keeps it on the air night after night (station usage).
- Mythmaker
- An artist whose work became a shared story larger than the work itself (station usage).
- Belief Architect
- A figure who shaped what large numbers of people take to be true — in politics, science or faith (station usage).
- Platform Native
- A creator who grew up inside the platforms and speaks their grammar first — clips, streams, feeds (station usage).
- Institutional Bridge
- An office, company or official whose institution now speaks through channels like everyone else's (station usage).
- Amplifier
- A host or feed that makes other people's stories bigger by carrying them (station usage).
- Chaos Channel
- A signal that is watched because nobody can predict what it will do next (station usage).
- Star
- A name that draws an audience by itself — the theatrical event, the arena bill (station usage).
- Aesthetic Engineer
- Someone whose look, sound or style was copied until it became a standard (station usage).
- Mainstream Converter
- A figure who carried something from a niche into the mainstream — a desk, a genre, a market (station usage).
- Underground Signal
- A source that matters more than its size — a disclosure, a back office, a long jam (station usage).
