THE LEXICON

When events on the world stage outrun ordinary language, people reach for old words — plague, demon, antichrist, jinn — words that have named overwhelming forces in books for thousands of years. The station does not decide whether they are true. It records that they were reached for, by whom, about what, with a receipt.

The saying, never the said. A word names an event, never a person.
